FAQ
ABOUT OUR WOOD MALLETS
Buy something that makes your life easier and you'll wonder what you did without it.
Our mallets, crafted from hard maple and styled for the modern home, bring everyday efficiency to kitchens, workshops, and living spaces.
A wood mallet is a simple yet effective tool. Freestanding, its base sits solidly on any flat surface, keeping the upright handle within easy reach. Wood mallets deliver a softened strike with positive drive, unlike the weighted strike of a hammer mallet.
Form follows function — and beauty.
Our mallets are designed for cross-use in the kitchen, bar, garden,
or workspace. For example, Calla is a wood crafting and culinary workhorse.
Base your selections on creative endeavors, hand sizes, and designs that
resonate with your customers.
We start by creating design sketches that evolve into detailed CAD files. These files guide a CNC lathe in the production of our mallets. After this initial phase, each mallet is carefully hand-shaped and finished by a skilled craftsperson. This meticulous attention to detail ensures each mallet is one of a kind.

CRAFTED WITH QUALITY
Buy something well-made a single time, and you'll use it forever. With proper care, you can hand down your mallets to future generations.
Mallets are made from premium North American hard maple unless otherwise specified. Select larger sizes are made from laminated blanks using food-safe, water-based glue from hard maple offcuts that would otherwise be discarded. This method helps prevent warping and cracking that can sometimes occur with solid wood items.t.
This is considered normal wear — it's how your mallet becomes yours.
We design our collections at our studio in Michigan. Mallets are turned and hand-finished in Pennsylvania, then oil-finished in Rochester, Michigan — and for the Bump collection, leather-strapped by ZEHO Leather Works, a family-run leather shop in Romeo, Michigan we’re proud to partner with.
GIVING BACK
We donate a percentage of our annual profit to Noah at Central in Detroit, MI, a hub for services and resources for individuals on the path to stable housing. We also support children’s education in Traverse City, MI.
SUSTAINABILITY
We craft our products using sustainably harvested wood and finish them with RMP Finishes® plant-based Cutting Board Oil — 100% food-safe. Our mallets are entirely biodegradable; leather straps are made of environmentally friendly vegetable-tanned leather.
We use shipping boxes and kraft paper void fill that are designated EPP (Environmentally Preferable Product), and kraft water-activated paper tape. Our tags are printed on Mohawk Renewal recycled cotton paper; stringers are black polished cotton. All incoming shipments are requested to come to us plastic-free.
